Since2008.
At thecrossroads.
The Desautels Technology Club organizes events that give students exposure to the technology field in a way that complements their studies.
That means meeting and learning from industry professionals, understanding the latest trends in technology for specific industries, and applying what they learn in class to real-world problems.
Formerly the Desautels Business Technology Club (DBTC), the club rebranded as DTECH. Beyond the name, the rebrand brought new events that now draw students from business, engineering and computer science, along with graduate students and young professionals.

A rebrand built on partnerships
DTECH relaunched with a sharper identity and a clear focus: partnerships and a stronger network. Three partnerships this season: Women in Tech, the OpenAI Student Collective and McGill Private Capital, with whom DTECH brings ValSoft to campus for a recruiting info session. Four industry panels bringing professionals from Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Ubisoft, Manulife and more onto campus. The DTECH Review relaunched as DTECH Review Highlights, a new editorial look for its coverage of AI, venture capital, sustainability, biotech and ethics in tech. And a community of 2,000+ across Instagram and LinkedIn that connects students with the people building the industry.
“We wish to build a strong community of business and tech enthusiasts. We encourage you to share your ideas with the world.”
“If you write, if you build, or if you just want a clearer picture of where these industries are going, come say hi. No tech background needed.”
Every year a new team takes DTECH further. Recruitment opens each spring.
